Weekend leaves Se7en exhausted

I spent a bit too much time inworld this weekend. I contacted my new editor with a tiny issue, which she resolved immediately. Being that I'm ready to write on almost any occasion, I asked for work and she obliged.

My usual GMG meeting was canceled due to World Cup fans invading the city where Erik Goff lives. He could find no peace. I went to pick up a dog we are dog-sitting this week (in RL) and returned to cover an event. I spent all afternoon checking the Environmental Fluidity opening - omg it is HUGE. I managed to break the tour HUD you get in the beginning and became hopelessly lost after trying to film with my WeGame device. By then, I had been through about 2/3 of the exhibit and had crashed everything except SL. It was time for Poetry Libre and I had a splitting headache. I IMed Rosemary to say I couldn't make it.

After chatting with Drax about his camping trip, feeding the dogs and myself and taking ibuprofen, I returned to the exhibit. After a couple of RL long phone calls while I explored the final parts, I realized there was a party at the end I had totally missed. If only Mr. Dickins would have told me at the beginning, I would have gone there first. It makes me wonder if they thought people were supposed to get through the whole thing within an hour or two. I was having too much fun in the hamster ball riding down the "Spin Cycle."

This morning I can't get Arron's song about the runaway train out of my head...
