It is highly unlikely to find Arron Savira performing at a time when I'm available. Usually, I'm at work, since he often performs in the morning. Perhaps that's why he sent me a personal invite, in addition to the group notice. I only waited long enough to ask if he was at idioteque; I don't try to go there since my banishment. When he said "Savira Sounds," I teleported.I have missed hearing him play and sing. His voice has a slight rawness to it that is very endearing-reminds me of Jonathan Richman, but more melodious. I can't tell you what he played today. I just soaked it in. His publicity says, "Arron Savira is an up-and-coming SL musician who has been strumming a guitar since age 13. Expect lots of acoustic \'90s alt rock covers, a few TV show themes and lots of giggling at his performances." Here is a little taste from Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCOj_nQUf0I&feature=player_embedded#!
But originally, he hooked me in with an Elvis Costello cover.
Someone, who shall remain nameless, passed around a gesture called "humpahumpa" which became the dance of the event. Totally unflappable, Arron continued to play as fans pulled in tightly around him.
