Hanging With Vampires

I've been looking at the vampire lifestyle since Hooch bit me. I don't bite; I'm not interested in that. The technical details are interesting. I was invited to "the basement" to give blood, as I am a pomme.

It was already late at night for me, when I asked Tally if it was a good time. She teleported me. I told her, "I've never been in the basement." She asked me to show my stats. I thought that was a bit bizarre since I hadn't bitten anyone, but I dug down into the bottom of my inventory and found the little box. When Tally realized I had never given blood before, she explained that whoever is taking the blood should always supply me with apples and make sure my stats were back to 100% before I left. She asked me to eat apples, but then realized she had none. We went to pick apples with guy who happened to be there.

Apple-picking is easy. First, you "touch" the tree and this shakes the apples out onto the ground. Then, you right click to buy and take them. It gets tedious if you have to buy a bunch, as we did. After we had about 80, we returned to the basement.

Tally had some small and large tanks for storage of blood. She wanted to finish filling a big one. I can't even guess how many liters I gave. The reason you wear your stats is to make sure you have some humanity. As you eat apples, your percent humanity goes up. You're not supposed to let it get too low. As I ate apple after apple, Tally poked me. I had to sit down, because every time she poked me, I jerked around. I had to reset my camera to see the apple and click on it to eat it.

We ran out of apples, so we went to pick more. By that time, it was getting very late and I was tired. We returned and topped off the tank. I ate enough apples to get my stats to 100% and then collapsed into my bed.
