You have found me to be absent from SL. I am not all that busy with holiday preparations. In fact, I'm being drawn in kicking and screaming as I dislike this time of year. Instead, I've been focused on writing. I have a new job at afk Magazine. My new editor is very experienced and I can see this may be *fingers crossed* a long term relationship. I am trying out for an RL opportunity that's not prestigious but would net me a few extra dollars weekly. Also, I have applied for a new job within my company in the marketing department.

Of course my shopping isn't done, cookies are not made and I haven't even played the Christmas music. I have yet to decide what to bring to our newly instituted potluck Christmas dinner.

I was listening to Joy Division, New Order and the Cure last night, so now I'm in a strange mood, but not unhappy. I must drag myself to work and hope the grant-submitting, article-submitting and other general can-you-help-me? type of work has slowed down so I may catch up on my actual assignments.

Check out the size of this candle holder! I must come inworld at least once more before Christmas to dump candy canes all around. After that, I'll have to put the candy cane dropper away until next year.
