Morning Thoughts

More antics brought to you by GayUnitedKingdom Littleboots: waiting for the train at Rez

And, it's Monday again. I milk the weekend, try to squeeze out every drop of fun I can, because I know Monday will come again. I will be required to return to my RL job. It isn't too bad, as far as jobs go; I am somewhat autonomous and it is intellectually stimulating. I believe I get decent wage and benefits for my job description of program assistant (which in no way describes what I do). I won't go on a rant about it here, but I think we need to put barbed wire across our offices. Let it suffice to say I wish I had a "ban button" for some of my coworkers.

It was a typical weekend in SL for me. I began the weekend with a search for textures, which I eventually got from Andree - thousands of them! I am learning to make rings, a slow process for an inept person such as myself. If I succeed in making anything interesting I'll photo it and share with you. Purple is looking for a small place for me to rent. Gosh, my friends are so good to me...

On Saturday, I talked to three vampires about wearing garlic on HPI and had good success. I think I may be getting the hang of it. Of course, it helps that I am so innocuous-looking; Se7en couldn't scare a flea. I never have problems with vampires. I think they want to be treated like anyone else, with respect and kindness. About 95% of the time, they just didn't know the rule and are happy to comply. Some I find are eager to stop playing vampire and were apparently just waiting for someone to mention a way out.

It's the non-vampires who give me grief. And, I never will understand guys in SL. I tell them I have a boyfriend (yes...again) and, as if they are totally oblivious, they still ask me to "date," "share all their love" and teleport to the bedroom. OMG wake up fools! I am not your blow-up doll!

I attended a couple of the SL6B events at Quantum. I wrote an article for the HPI blog on one. The other I am writing an article for Second Chick, with the hope my editor will return soon. I went to the Ballet Pixelle on Sunday after Poetry Libre and started writing an article on that also. I used the PC; it is much faster for photo-taking. How beautiful to see the sets and costumes totally rezzed!

And now, as I am already late, I better shower and get going...
