Congratulations Whistler and Aimee

The last week has been chock full of surprises. I hardly know where to begin. I started my new job as a contributor to secondchick.com. That would have been enough excitement for me, but there was much more.

A dear SL friend told me she was engaged, but within a few days she had broken it off. It was as sorrowful as any RL break-up; I felt her pain. Meanwhile, another SL friend was having RL marital problems and his wife left him. I'm not quite sure what to think about this situation. I can only say I may never understand the lifestyles or motives of some people.

There was some happy news; I was invited to attend an SL wedding. What a treat! I had not met the couple previously, but they were very gracious toward me upon our introduction through a mutual friend. The venue was the "home" of a friend, Jess, who had redesigned a portion of her space just for the wedding. She had done a fabulous job; it was a perfect setting with a canopy-covered area for the ceremony, banquet room, dance floor and beautiful picture pose spot next to the ocean. The reception lasted for about two hours, during which I did a little dancing with the preacher (lol) and took over 50 pics. They had a very good DJ named Davey Swindlehurst who played a mix of romantic and contemporary music infinitely suitable for a wedding.

Now, to sort through and assemble the pics...
